Will Israel Adesanya’s silver tongue create rivalry with Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259?
Jan Blachowicz gives details on potential rivalry with Israel Adesanya
UFC 259 on March 6th will be hosting a multitude of incredible fights. The biggest possibility being Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz title fight. With the light heavyweight gold on the line, both fighters have potential superfights in their future. That’s if they can seize the victory. As we move in within 2 weeks of the light heavyweight showdown, its likely we will see a massive push in promotion. With a social media driven society, the light heavyweight champ decided to capitalize.
Is Jan Blachowicz able to withstand the linguistic onslaught Israel Adesanya’s given previous opponents?
Fortunately enough for Jan, he was able to make an appearance on Michael Bisping’s podcast “Believe You Me”, he spoke confidently about his nearing title defense. With his opponent Adesanya being known for his almost admirable ability to trash talk, the question proposed itself. Will there be any bad blood between Jan and Israel come UFC 259?
“Not now [when asked if there is bad blood] – we will see later in the press conference,” Blachowicz said. “We will see what he’s gonna talk. If he says something to me, I will talk to him also. But you know, he’s good with talking. Together, we’ll do a good job inside the Octagon.” (via bjpenn.com)
The Polish native made it very clear he has no intention overlooking Israel. Provided that he wins his upcoming bout, Jan began to expand on what future fights he would desire. That’s when he included the name of the all time great, Jon Jones. Mentioning he believes the previous champ is ducking him. After the somewhat brash comments of looking past Adesanya, it’s as if the polak wants to get under Israel’s skin. Will Israel take the bait, and allow Jan to get inside his head? Was Jan invoking the silver tongue of Adesanya, hoping to pull him out of character? One thing’s for certain, the anticipation leading up to March 6th is thick enough to cut with a knife.
