After having a record-breaking season, LSU’s Tigers star, Angel Reese, played her last home game of the season on Sunday. This was her fourth season with the team. The Tigers took the victory against the Kentucky Wildcats on Reese’s senior day.

Senior days are always special as it can be the player’s last time playing in front of the home crowd in their college career. To make this day memorable, Reese walked out on the court with her parents and basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. The wholesome moment quickly caught the internet’s attention.

O’Neal, along with Reese’s parents, wore a shirt that said ‘Bayou Barbie is my favorite senior’. Being a player of Baton Rouge, Reese was nicknamed the ‘Bayou Barbie’. The crowd of Baton Rouge wanted the player to stick around for another season, as they chanted “one more year” during the game.

In the 77-56 victory, Reese scored a double-double 22 points and 14 assists. The forward is widely known for her double-doubles. In April 2023, she broke the NCAA’s record for the most double-doubles in a single season. The record was broken after 16 years.

This is not the first time O’Neal has shown his support to the college star. The two share a great bond and Reese considers O’Neal as a father figure in her life. After meeting at LSU’s football game, the duo have grown close.
