US gymnast Simone Biles on Tuesday took to social media to announce her engagement to long-time boyfriend Jonathan Owens. Biles is dating Owens for the last 2 years and publicly declared her relationship with Owens in 2020. The couple has been quite vocal about each other and Biles has time and again expressed her love for Owens in interviews and on social media too.
A few months ago in an interview, Biles made it clear that having a balanced life where she could spend more time with her boyfriend is her goal. “Making sure I have the proper time to spend with my family, my friends, and my boyfriend,” she said.
On Tuesday, she shared a few pictures of the proposal on social media and wrote, “WOKE UP A FIANCÉE ??? I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married! ??@jjowens_3.” Biles was clearly thrilled by the thought of marrying Owens.
Dream proposal for Biles
Simona’s fiancee, who is an NFL player started dating back in March 2020 and two years down the line, have decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Owens proposed Biles in a gazebo and was perfectly dressed for the occasion. For the proposal, Owens wore a grey blazer with black sneakers while Biles looked breathtaking in her black dress and paired it with black heels.
On taking a look at Biles’ ring through the pictures, Jenny Luker, president of Platinum Guild International USA revealed that the ring should cost anywhere about $325,000.
“The center oval cut diamond looks approximately 7-9 carats and set in platinum, a naturally white metal, which makes the diamonds sparkle even brighter! There are also micro pavé diamonds around the thin platinum band. I would estimate this ring costs $325,000,” he said.
