Women’s WarGames is on! Rhea Ripley returns in face mask and takes down Liv Morgan on Raw

Rhea Ripley returns on Raw (via WWE)
Following the chaotic ending to last week’s show, Liv Morgan kicked off the latest episode of Raw. Morgan and Nia Jax set aside their differences as they stood alongside Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. This prompted Bianca Belair and co. to come out. Morgan laughed at the four, as they were outnumbered. However, Morgan’s smile faded after Rhea Ripley came out.
Marching down the ring in a face mask, Ripley screamed “WarGames” before headbutting her rival. A brawl ensued that ended with Ripley, Belair, Naomi, Jade Cargill, and Iyo Sky standing tall. For the third consecutive year, there will indeed be a Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. Despite suffering an orbital injury, The Eradicator has come back seeking vengeance on Morgan and Rodriguez.
The last time fans saw Ripley on television was on the October 29 edition of NXT. While paying a visit at the Performance Center, the former Judgment Day member got brutally attacked in the parking lot. Morgan and Rodriguez left Ripley in a bloody mess, with WWE later announcing that she would be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.

As for WarGames, the build to this match kick-started when Liv Morgan eliminated Belair and Cargill from the #1 contender’s battle royal. Furthermore, Jax and Stratton targeted the Women’s Tag Team Champions. On last week’s Raw, Jax and Morgan seemingly joined forces to take down the duo. Despite that, Naomi and Sky arrived to save the tag champs.
Although the build does feel rushed, fans are excited for the upcoming WarGames match at Survivor Series. Additionally, Rhea Ripley will compete in her first match since suffering an injury at the hands of Morgan and Rodriguez.
Rhea Ripley set to play significant role at WrestleMania 41
When Rhea Ripley suffered yet another injury, fans were concerned about the beloved star. It turns out there was fear backstage in WWE as well. According to PWInsider, WWE was pleased to learn that the injury was not as severe as they initially feared it to be.
The report added that the company has significant plans in store for Ripley at WrestleMania 41. Of course, that shouldn’t come as a surprise given The Eradicator is one of the biggest stars. Ripley has openly talked about her aspirations for the Showcase of Immortals.
Unsurprisingly, Mami stated that she has no intentions of extending her feud with Liv Morgan until next year’s event in Las Vegas. Instead, Ripley named Bianca Belair as her dream opponent for WrestleMania. All in all, it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the former Women’s World Champion.
