Wrestling fans react to Liv Morgan's first promo (via WWE and @wrestling_jazz)
Liv Morgan has had a meteoric rise in the company in 2024. Although she has been a women’s world champion in the past, she truly solidified herself this year as a main eventer. This has been done through a significant improvement in her character work and her promos. However, the 30-year-old wasn’t always so fluent with her words.
A video of Liv Morgan recently started going viral on social media. The footage dates back to 2015 when the Women’s World Champion just began making appearances on NXT. She can be seen wearing a black cap, white tee, and black gloves. The 30-year-old also looks much skinnier than she currently is.
Morgan began cutting a promo in a voice that sounded much more shrill than her current one. She also looked much less confident. She talked about winning a battle royale to be crowned the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Lastly, she also ended her promo with a weird sound.

In recent times, she has become a huge PR asset for the company. She is doing the job of a champion, and representing the company in various avenues. Last month, the Queen of Extreme became the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion and appeared at multiple media events alongside the biggest star in the company, Cody Rhodes. Furthermore, WWE also flew her out to the NFL Christmas Games for an appearance.
The Wrestling World reacts to Liv Morgan’s first promo on WWE programming
The WWE Universe was surprised to see this promo by the current Women’s World Champion. They were surprised to see how much her microphone skills lacked at the time. Furthermore, it was even more surprising to see just how much she had improved on the stick in such a short time.
After looking at the promo, a fan pointed out how she wanted to desperately win the NXT Women’s Championship. Although she never got to achieve that feat, she did win the World Championship on the main roster twice and become one of the biggest female stars that the company has to offer today. She has also beaten some huge names, such as Rhea Ripley, Ronda Rousey, and Becky Lynch.

Netizens were glad to see her drop the Jersey Shore gimmick that she had at the time. During the promo, she even said that she wanted to win the battle royale for Jersey. A hater joked that she was still the same on the promo, albeit this is of course not true. Regardless, her massive improvement could not be denied and fans acknowledged that everyone had to start somewhere.
