Indi Hartwell is one of the most promising superstars in professional wrestling. Fans thought that she would be a major player for WWE’s women’s division in the future. However, it appears that this is not going to be the case.

According to Fightful Select, Hartwell will soon be departing WWE. Within the next 90 days, she will become a free agent and have the freedom to sign with other wrestling promotions. The Australian herself re-posted a tweet announcing this news and seemed shocked by it.

Alongside Hartwell, WWE has also decided to release Tegan Nox and Baron Corbin from the company. The former King of the Ring winner thanked his fans for their support, and the Welsh wrestler talked about how some things aren’t under one’s control. She had previously complained about not even being booked in the Women’s Speed tournament, stating that she was a deserter waiting for her 90-day non-compete clause to end.

The 28-year-old had not taken part in any major storyline for a long while now. She had mostly become a part of the house show circuit and only appeared on Raw or SmackDown to fill spots in a multi-woman match. Meanwhile, the company seems to have a new-found confidence in her tag team partner, Candice LeRae.

They made her the inaugural women’s Speed Champion and gave her a pinfall victory over Bayley. Although Hartwell was also present at ringside for these matches, her role was restricted to being a distraction.

Fans were devastated to hear the news of Indi Hartwell being released from the company. Most of all, they were shocked at the manner in which she seemingly found out. Although she was never a major player in WWE storylines, she had a lovable personality. Furthermore, fans loved seeing her on their screen. A fan also appreciated how she used to post hilarious skits on her X account to entertain all her fans.

Hearing that one got fired is never an easy task. However, fans were proud of her for how well she received this information. It appears that Hartwell confirmed this news on her own end and then came back to X to post an inspirational message. She told the fans not to cry because it was over but to smile because it happened.

Many netizens were saddened that releases were an unfortunate yet necessary part of the business. While releases are handled much differently under the new regime, it is still painful to be on the receiving end of it. Thus, fans wished Hartwell all the best in her future endeavors and hoped to see her back in the big leagues once again.
