This week, Rey Mysterio went on a fight with former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston in a grudge match. After weeks of brewing tension between the two veterans, they finally got an opportunity to settle their conflicts. However, things took a wild turn when Kingston accidentally slipped during a powerbomb attempt on Mysterio at ringside.
That massive slip led to a disastrous landing for the WWE Hall of Famer at ringside. It was a significant mistake that could have resulted in a major injury to Mysterio. Had the distance been even slightly greater, it might have caused a sprain or potentially a hairline fracture. However, Kingston quickly handled the situation, seamlessly continuing the match without missing a beat.
Despite the botch, Mysterio managed to secure a pinfall victory over Kingston on Raw. After the match, The New Day launched a surprise attack on the WWE legend, but Mysterio’s LWO team swiftly rushed to the ring to protect their leader. It turned out to be a positive night for the WWE Hall of Famer, as he gained significant momentum heading into the Royal Rumble match.
