Jessica Pegula is having a dream run. She played well in the Grand Slams, reaching the Quarter-finals round of the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open. She then reached the semi-finals of the Miami Open and the San Diego Open and played the final match of the Madrid Open.

She won the second WTA singles title of her career recently by defeating Maria Sakkari in the Final of the Guadalajara Open. She has also won 5 WTA women’s double titles all coming this year. On the back of such splendid performances, she jumped to the WTA ranking of No.3. She also made the world record of having 39 wins in WTA 1000 tournaments in the last two years.

Maria Sakkari failed to win any WTA title this year, but she has impressed everyone with her amazing performances in all the tournaments.
