In the Madrid Open, she beat Jasmine Paolini and Varvara Gracheva and later on beat Belinda Bencic and Simona Halep and then beat Ekaterina Alexandrovato to reach the finals. She is the heavy favourite among fans and will be playing in her first-ever WTA-1000 finals.
