“The Goddess is back”: Alexa Bliss returns to in-ring action

Bliss

Alexa Bliss is one of the most popular Superstars in the professional wrestling industry. She has been with WWE since 2013 and has won the Raw Women’s Championship thrice, Smackdown Women’s Championship twice and is also a multi-time Tag Team Championship. Her Championship reigns are a testament of her in-ring prowess.

But in the last couple of years, the WWE Universe got to see a new side of “The Goddess”. Forming an alliance with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, we got to see her acting abilities as she adopted the supernatural gimmick too. In fact, even when Wyatt went on a hiatus, Bliss ensured that the feud against Randy Orton continued.

Alexa Bliss turned on Wyatt at Wrestlemania 37 and it seemed like the story was taking an interesting turn, Wyatt was released from the company. But Bliss’ supernatural gimmick continued. She had started associating with a doll named Lily, but the fans were not liking the storyline anymore. Charlotte Flair defeated Bliss at Extreme Rules 2021 and destroyed the doll, post which Bliss went on a hiatus.

A couple of weeks ago, Alexa Bliss returned to Raw. As soon as her return was announce, fans started speculating that her old “Goddess” gimmick might be back. But we got to witness a therapy session – where Bliss was trying to forget about Lily the doll. The therapy sessions ran for a couple of weeks and ended during the go-home Raw episode for Crown Jewel.

But with the final therapy session airing, it now seems the old “Goddess” gimmick will be finally returning at Elimination Chamber. Bliss is finally making her in-ring return at the event in Saudi Arabia and we might finally see her in a full-fledged wrestling role after a really long time.
