WWE is set to head to Glasgow, Scotland, to host another international PLE, Clash at the Castle. The prior SmackDown is going to take place in the same OVO Hydro arena. Now, WWE has announced a huge match to be featured on the show just for the Scottish audience in attendance.
Reigniting their iconic rivalry, Drew McIntyre will be facing Sheamus on the eve of Clash at the Castle. The two stars have a rugged past and have been at loggerheads with each other. With both of them being popular in Europe, WWE has booked this marquee bout to hype up the fans for the tour in Scotland.
It will work as a proper exhibition match for the Scottish Warrior before he laces up his boots the next night. After facing the Celtic King in a dark match on SmackDown, McIntyre will be facing Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. It will mark a rematch between the pair after Priest cashed in his MITB briefcase on McIntyre at WrestleMania.
Moreover, Drew is going to be the star of the weekend, as the two-day event will take place in his home country. Therefore, it significantly increases the chances of him winning the World Heavyweight Championship on June 15. As such, only time will tell if McIntyre is able to capture the title in front of his family and friends.
Drew McIntyre sent a stern warning to Damian Priest after he namedropped his wife on Raw
This week on Raw, Damian Priest went on an expedition to obliterate Drew McIntyre. He tried to get under his skin with some heated and personal comments. Taking some heavy shots, the Judgment Day member mentioned McIntyre’s wife. After the segment, the latter quickly responded to this on X with a stern warning.
Following the events of Raw, the former WWE Champion posted a picture of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. Further, McIntyre wrote that Priest was going to be slapped in a similar fashion. However, he’d be hitting his rival with a brick.
It was a pretty wild warning by the Scottish-born wrestler ahead of his clash with the World Heavyweight Champion. The heat between the two is all-time high, and now the feud has become even more personal. Therefore, all eyes are on June 15, when these two fight it out at Clash at the Castle.
