A week removed from Bash in Berlin, WWE will look to shift focus to its upcoming PLE, Bad Blood. The upcoming Raw and SmackDown episodes will mark the season premieres of both shows. As such, WWE has the chance to not only stack the respective television shows but also build towards Bad Blood as well.

Set to emanate from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, the show will mark the 27th anniversary of the PPV. Given its historical background, WWE has plans in store for a couple of barbaric matches, including the iconic Hell in a Cell match. Keeping WWE’s recent 5-match card format in mind, here is the possible Bad Blood match card:

Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley (Unsanctioned Match for Women’s World Championship)

This rivalry has been one of the focal points of WWE’s calendar year. After injuring Rhea Ripley in April, Liv Morgan vowed to take everything away from her. And she delivered on her promise. Morgan won the same title Ripley vacated, swayed Dominik Mysterio to her side, and played a key role in breaking apart The Judgment Day. Needless to say, a feud of this caliber needs to be settled in a chaotic environment.

Hence, the two longtime rivals could square off in an Unsanctioned match at Bad Blood. Following Mami’s pinfall win at Bash in Berlin, she is the rightful #1 contender for the Women’s World Championship. Additionally, fans have demanded a bout with less emphasis and focus on “Dirty” Dom. Therefore, the former NXT North American Champion should be banned from ringside in this battle.

Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Despite putting in a great effort, Kevin Owens fell short of winning his second world title at Bash in Berlin. KO failed to pull the trigger at the opportunistic time, which cost him the match. Although Cody Rhodes and Owens hugged it out after the match, fans are anticipating more from the duo. Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa on next week’s SmackDown.

Moreover, many are hoping that this will be the end of Cody’s involvement with The Bloodline. The Georgia native will not miss out on competing on the Bad Blood card. With a home crowd firmly behind him, The American Nightmare has no one better to face than Owens. The latter might turn heel in the buildup, which can help differentiate the dynamics of the bout. Nonetheless, the WWE Universe will have to wait and see how the coming weeks transpire for Rhodes.

Gunther vs. Sami Zayn for the World Heavyweight Championship

At WrestleMania XL, Sami Zayn ended Gunther‘s record-breaking Intercontinental Championship reign. Moreover, he became the first person to pin The Ring General on the main roster. On the latest episode of Raw, Zayn confronted the World Heavyweight Champion and challenged him to match. When Gunther refused, the former Bloodline member claimed that the Imperium leader was afraid of facing him.

A few days later, WWE announced that Bret Hart, Zayn’s childhood hero, will appear on Raw. Later, reports suggested that Hart was penned down for a segment with Gunther. Therefore, it seems that the angle will eventually lead to the champion finally accepting Zayn’s challenge. Further, these two will most likely compete in a WrestleMania rematch at Bad Blood.

Nia Jax vs. Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship

At SummerSlam, Nia Jax became a two-time Women’s Champion after defeating Bayley for the title. After the outcome, the latter went on a brief hiatus while Jax resumed her feud with Michin. In her first title defense, The Irresistible Force emerged victorious, scoring a win over Mia Yim. However, during the bout, Bayley returned to even the odds as she attacked Nia’s friend, Tiffany Stratton.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, The Role Model defeated Stratton despite help from Jax. WWE has teased a rematch between Jax and Bayley down the line. With that said, if this is indeed the direction, this bout will most likely take place at the upcoming Bad Blood PLE.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (Hell in a Cell Match)

When WWE announced the return of Bad Blood, fans instantly knew why the company brought back the PPV. With the event’s ties to the debut of Hell in a Cell, there was only rivalry worthy of ending inside the demonic structure. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been at each other’s throats for the entire year, with the feud growing personal as each month passes by.

On last week’s Raw, Punk thought he was done with McIntyre, having defeated him at Bash in Berlin. However, The Scottish Warrior unleashed a brutal attack on his rival. In addition to hitting four Claymore kicks, McIntyre destroyed Punk’s bracelet, which had his wife and dog’s names embedded on it. Later, The Second City Saint was stretchered out of the arena. Despite that, he will be looking to return soon to exact revenge on McIntyre.
