Ric Flair has made a practice of criticising Becky Lynch on his WOOOOO Nation Uncensored podcast in recent times. The most recent came this week when he discouraged Becky Lynch for her recent promos with the women’s Royal Rumble 2022 winner Ronda Rousey.

After claiming the Women’s Royal Rumble as a mystery entrant the night before, the formerly UFC and Raw Women’s Champion reappeared on the Jan. 31 edition of Monday Night Raw. Lynch continued to trash Rousey in the same way she did before their WrestleMania 35 match, addressing her as “Ronnie” and labelling her a “little weirdo.”
“It’s huge,” Flair said when asked about the importance of Rousey’s return. “She’s not Ronnie. She’s Ronda Rousey. Anybody that’s stupid enough to call her Ronnie and make a joke of her presence and what she brings to the company is out of their mind, aka, what is her name now? Big Time Becks? ‘Hey, Ronnie. Welcome back. Wow, that’s exciting. That’s really exciting. How about, Thank you Ronda for showing up because I’m not ‘The Man’ anymore. I’m generic, who am I, Big Time Becks, The Lass Kicker, I don’t know.”

Lynch has spoken about Flair’s comments earlier, telling Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour in November that she felt sorry for him — “Look, I read that tweet. That’s the one you’re talking about. The one I’m referring to, and I looked at it and prepared a reaction that would have been fairly sharp, but I deleted it and let it go because I think it’s quite sad because this was once a legend.“
“This legend, a 16-time world champion Ric Flair is now jealous of me. It’s cool for me. And is now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things. So I kind of was just like, ah let me let him out of it because it’s kind of sad. It’s kind of sad.”
The Raw Women’s Champion took it to Twitter to mock the nature boy saying, “Work so hard your heroes become your rivals. We all know the fierce rivalry between Becky and Charlotte but the cold war between Ric Flair and Becky is just getting heated up and we believe that there’s more to come.
