“P****d me off”: Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch discusses her infamous Royal Rumble match

Former Raw Women's Champion

Becky Lynch is gearing up for one of the biggest matches of her career. In a few hours, she will putting the Raw Women’s Championship on the line against Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania Saturday. Big Time Becks has been dominating the roster since she returned from her maternity break at Summerslam 2021.

Lynch pinned the EST of WWE in 26 seconds to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. She has been holding on to a title ever since. But in the WWE Draft 2021, Big Time Becks got drafted to RAW and had to exchange her title with the then-Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. On the new brand, Lynch got the chance to kick off new feuds.

One of the first feuds Becky Lynch had in her current reign, was against Doudrop, who is still looking for her first title on the main roster. The fans really loved this fresh rivalry. They collided for the Raw Women’s Championship at 2022 Royal Rumble, where Big Time Becks managed to successfully retain her title.

While Becky Lynch and Doudrop delivered a strong match, unfortunately the live crowd was distracted for a major part of the match. The Wrestlemania sign, which hung high above in the arena, caught fire after a huge pyrotechnics display. As a result of this, a section of the crowd had to be evacuated, distracting almost the entire arena. In a recent interview with BT Sport, Big Time Becks reveals that the distraction p****d her off.

It p***ed me way off. Cause the attention went with the sign. Yes, of course. You’ve got to listen to the audience. You’ve got to know what’s going on. That’s how you become a great performer. So, it was early in the match and I thought it was going great. Then I notice everybody’s attention is just all over the place,” mentioned the Raw Women’s Champion.

At Elimination Chamber, the Raw Women’s Championship for Wrestlemania 38 was announced. Becky Lynch managed to retain her title at Chamber against Lita and Bianca Belair became the No.1 Contender for the title – setting up this epic clash for the Showcase of Immortals.

This rivalry is easily one of the hottest ones on the card. They have a strong history together. Belair will be seeking redemption while Lynch will be seeking Belair’s hair! This feud had involved some strong promos, brutal brawls and serious injuries too. Their match is expected to be the opening match of Wrestlemania 38.
