“As Paul Heyman is at promos”: Hall of Famer praises Becky Lynch’s social media strategy
Heyman and Lynch
Becky Lynch is one of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster currently. After a maternity break, she returned to WWE at Summerslam and immediately won the Smackdown Women’s Championship. She went on to exchange the title with Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Post this she kicked off a dominant run as the Champion of the Red brand. Big Time Becks successfully defended the title against the likes of Liv Morgan and Doudrop. But her biggest challenger came in the form of the EST of WWE – Bianca Belair. They collided for the title at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Bianca Belair managed to pin Becky Lynch to kick off her first reign as the Raw Women’s Champion. It was undoubtedly, one of the best matches of the event and concluded one of the best feuds of the year. Their rivalry had great storytelling, interesting angles and some strong motivation for both the Superstars.
But Becky Lynch’s character is not only limited to the television screens – but she even maintains the kayfabe on her social media. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, on the latest episode of Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast, went as far as calling Lynch’s social media strategy as good as Paul Heyman’s promos!
“Better than anybody I’ve seen in WWE. She’s as good at it as Paul Heyman is at promos. I’ve been on my own social media, I’ve put her over so much because I want other people to look at her and go, Huh? I wanna do it kinda like she does it,” mentioned Bischoff.
Becky Lynch wanted to face Bayley at Wrestlemania 37
Bayley and Becky Lynch are two of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster. Interestingly, both of them were popular babyfaces on the company who eventually turned Heel. While both of them were missing seen in action at Wrestlemania last year, in a recent interview with Fightful, Big Time Becks revealed that she was supposed to face The Role Model last year!
“There was a bit of a pitch. I know that Bayley, who worked so hard that whole year and really just went into a different level with the character, had nothing. It was sad. She deserved a big moment. So me, being the generous soul that I am, was going to give her a big moment. But it never came to fruition. I think they thought, ‘Well, we need something bigger for Big Time Becks,” mentioned Lynch.
