REVEALED: Real reason behind Bobby Lashley being taken out from the Elimination Chamber

REVEALED: Real reason behind Bobby Lashley being taken out from the Elimination Chamber

Lashley

Bobby Lashley has been on a dominant reason since the last one year on WWE. Following the Elimination Chamber PPV in 2021, Lashley went on to pin the then-WWE Champion, The Miz, to kick off his first reign as the WWE Champion. He kicked off a blockbuster feud against Drew McIntyre.

He emerged victorious on three occasions against Drew McIntyre – Wrestlemania 37, Wrestlemania Backlash and Hell in a Cell. Lashley was having a dominant run as the Champion – but his reign came to a screeching halt when Money in the Bank winner successfully cashed in his contract on the All Mighty Lashley.

Lashley was soon back in the Championship scene and came close to winning the title at Day 1, but Brock Lesnar ended up winning the title. Bobby Lashley did not have to wait long for his second title reign as he managed to pin Lesnar at Royal Rumble. But his biggest challenge awaited him at Elimination Chamber.

Bobby Lashley entered the match as the WWE Champion at Elimination Chamber. He had to defend his title against the likes of Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Austin Theory and Riddle. But unfortunately, a spot involving Rollins and Theory led to Bobby Lashley being injured even before he could enter into the match!

While initially it seemed like a storyline injury, it has now been revealed that Lashley in fact will be nursing an injury. As revealed by former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide on The Ringer Wrestling Show, “Lashley is shoot hurt and has been hurt since the Rumble match. If you’ve noticed, he hasn’t worked any Raw’s. He hasn’t really defended his title. He was shoot hurt at the Lesnar match at the Rumble. From what I’m told, it’s for at least 4 months.”

Due to his shoulder injury, the All Mighty is all set to miss the biggest WWE event of the year – Wrestlemania 38. He is set to be out of action for four months – making his appearance unlikely on the Showcase of Immortals. Additionally, his Elimination Chamber exit gives him a storyline reason for absence.

So far, 3 matches have been announced for the Wrestlemania 38. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will face Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will defend her title against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair will put the Smackdown Women’s Championship on the line against Ronda Rousey.
