The Bloodline has been reigning at the top on SmackDown lately. They became the Tag Team Champions a few weeks ago by defeating #DIY in a grueling match. Following the victory, many fans have been questioning which members will be defending the titles. Recently, a new update has emerged that sheds light on the future of this title reign.
Recently, during a live event, Bloodline members Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa defended the Tag Team Championships against DIY. Originally, Loa teamed up with Jacob Fatu to capture the gold. It clearly suggests that WWE has brought back the ‘Freebird Rule’ for The Bloodline. It means that all the members are eligible for future championship defenses.
There are a number of tag teams that have benefited from this iconic directive. It includes the likes of legendary trio The New Day,who broke the record for longest-reigning tag champions with the help of the Freebird Rule. However, WWE abandoned this advantage later on, and it was not seen in the company for years. Now, it seems like WWE wants to portray The Bloodline as a strong unit while protecting the characters.
Furthermore, the crooked Bloodline of Solo Sikoa has been on a destructive spree. What felt like a ‘bootleg’ version of the original one totally destroyed the ‘Original Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns on SmackDown. In addition to that, Paul Heyman has teased bigger things that are about to happen in the story.
Paul Heyman claims Roman Reigns is in deep trouble
This week, fans witnessed the fall of the Roman Empire after Roman Reigns was stranded all alone on SmackDown by Jacob Fatu. He was attacked from behind and even got sent through the announce table. Now, Paul Heyman has revealed some major hints towards the future of this story. He has claimed that this is just a start, as some new members are going to join the fray soon.
Speaking at the Fanatics event, the Wiseman said fans know that the Tribal Chief is back to take the Ula Fala from Solo Sikoa. However, it is not that simple, as he would be facing some heavy hitters in the process. He teased some more debuts in the new Bloodline that might keep the Needle Mover busy and even become a hurdle towards his path to the top once again.
All you know is that Roman Reigns is back. He’s back to reclaim the title of ‘Tribal Chief’ from Solo and Solo has so much backup right now that Roman’s in deep, deep, deep trouble.Paul Heyman during the Fanatics Fest
Moreover, stars like Hikuleo and Zilla Fatu are on the horizon to make their debuts. Meanwhile, The Usos and Sami Zayn are also likely to join this saga down the line to lend a helping hand to the ‘Original Tribal Chief’.
