WWE Champion Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar made his thunderous return to WWE at Summerslam 2021. Since then he had been after Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship. But some unforeseen circumstances led to the Beast Incarnate being added to the WWE Championship at Day 1. As was expected, Lesnar dominated the match and walked out as the Champion.

While he was the WWE Champion, he kicked off a dream feud against Bobby Lashley. But unfortunately he ended up losing the title to Lashley at Royal Rumble. Being the dominant Superstar that he is, Lesnar earned his way back to the title scene by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He announced that he would be going after the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania.

But Brock Lesnar wanted to head into the Showcase of Immortals as a Champion and decided to go after the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber. He entered the giant iron structure along with Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Riddle and AJ Styles. Unfortunately, Lashley did not get a chance to defend his title as he was injured even before he was a part of the match!

Riddle sent Austin Theory crashing through Lashley’s pod – injuring the WWE Champion. As a result, he was taken out of the match. On the other hand, Brock Lesnar got so hyped up that he couldn’t wait for his turn to come out. Hence, the Beast Incarnate smashed through the pod and eliminated all the participants one after the other.

As soon as the Beast Incarnate smashed his way into the match – he eliminated one Superstar after another. Seth Rollins was followed by Riddle and AJ Styles. Austin Theory was the final member to be pinned – kicking off Brock Lesnar’s 10th reign as a World Champion.

With Lesnar winning the title – the much-awaited Wrestlemania bout is now a Champion vs Champion match. Lesnar, the WWE Champion will collide against Roman Reigns, the Universal Champion. Now it remains to be seen whether the bout is changed further in the coming weeks. It might not be the case considering there is no more PPVs scheduled before Mania.
