Randy Orton finally defeated Drew McIntyre, at WWE’s Hell in a Cell to become a 14time World Champion. His win at the WWE PPV puts him in an elite list with John Cena, Ric Flair and Triple H. These superstars hold the record for most number of World Championship reigns. While Cena and Flair jointly hold the record at 16 reigns, Triple H and Orton are next in line with 14.

Orton and McIntyre’s feud has been going on for long. They first squared off against each other at WWE Summerslam. McIntyre defeated him to retain the title. They faced off again at the PPV Clash of Champions. There the past of the Legend Killer came back to him. McIntyre won again in the ambulance match. But this time, it was with assistance from Ric Flair, The Big Show, Christian and Shawn Michaels.

It is interesting to see that Randy considers himself to be a legend. Throughout this year, he has been the “Legend Killer”. It would be interesting to see, how Orton’s story moves forward, as he is a Champion now. The feud for the Championship with McIntyre is likely to continue.

But considering that McIntyre fell off the steel structure onto the commentary table, he might be out for a couple of weeks. This opens the possibility of Orton feuding with some other Superstar in the build-up to WWE Survivor Series. The most likely opponent is The Miz, who won the Money in the Bank from Otis at the same PPV. Monday night Raw, will clarify that who is going after the WWE title next.
