“Everyone comes and goes”: Charlotte Flair discusses if her father will return to WWE

Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest names in the professional wrestling industry. She has been a Champion since she won the Raw Women’s Championship at Summerslam. But she had to exchange the title with Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship due to the WWE Draft 2021. The Queen hasn’t put her title on the line at a PPV since then.

But Flair did defend the title on Smackdown against the likes of Sonya Deville and Naomi. She is currently involved in a feud against Ronda Rousey. The Queen and The Baddest Woman on the Planet will be colliding for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania Saturday.

While Rousey herself is a dominant Superstar, Charlotte Flair is the most successful woman in the history of the company. Having won the Raw as well as the Smackdown Women’s Championship six times and also the NXT Women’s Championship once – making her a 13-time World Champion. Having multiple reigns in WWE, seems to be in the genes of the Flairs!

Charlotte Flair is a second generation professional wrestler. She is the daughter of 16-time WWE World Champion Ric Flair. “The Nature Boy” was also part of the WWE roster and appeared in storylines regularly. But last year his request for release from WWE was granted. While appearing for an interview with Hot 97, Charlotte discussed if her father will ever return to the company.

“It’s wrestling. I mean who’s to say my dad is never going to be back at WWE? Everyone comes and goes. I think it’s one of those businesses that you never know. Just because you’re not good one day doesn’t mean you’re great the next day, I’ve seen people come back that we never thought would come,” mentioned Flair.

It wasn’t just Charlotte Flair’s father who departed from the company last year. Her beau Andrade too was released from the company. He has since gone on to sign with All Elite Wrestling. In an interview with Superstar Crossover with Josh Martinez, she opened up about the possibility of working with Andrade.

“I think we’re just so focused on our careers individually. We can come together — well, I mean, now we’re at different companies. But I mean, that’s just something that would be easy to put together,” mentioned Flair.
