“The future of WWE”: Charlotte Flair feels RAW Superstar has immense potential

Charlotte Flair is the most successful woman in the history of WWE, in terms of her Championship reigns. In an association which spans for over a decade, the Queen has won the Raw Women’s Championship six times, Divas Championship once and is currently in her sixth reign as the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Flair has also won the NXT Women’s Championship twice in her career, but that isn’t part of the official count of her 13 World Championship reigns. There has been no other woman in the history of the company who has won as many titles. She is currently involved in a feud against Ronda Rousey.

Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will be colliding at Wrestlemania 38 for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Flair has been a Champion since Summerslam 2021, where she had defeated Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. to win the Raw Women’s Championship. She had to exchange the title with Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

While she was in pursuit of the title, Charlotte Flair was in a feud against the then-Champion Raw Women’s Championship. Flair had pinned her at Money in the Bank to win the title. Interestingly, they had even feud previously for the NXT Women’s Champion. Flair has immense experience for colliding against Rhea Ripley, hence, in a recent interview with Bleacher Report’s Graham “GSM” Matthews she called her the future of the company.

“That’s one of my top favorite matches. I took an uninterested crowd and by the end they were chanting, ‘This is awesome!’ She’s the future of the women’s division. I tell her all the time. I have so much respect for her and I know that our paths will cross,” mentioned the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Charlotte Flair wants to be “female John Cena”

As mentioned earlier, Charlotte Flair is the most successful woman in WWE today, having one 13 World Championships. In fact, there are only a handful of Superstars among her male counterparts, who’ve won more titles. The list is led by John Cena and Ric Flair – with 16 titles each. Interestingly, During an interview with DAZN, Flair had mentioned that she wants to be like the Leader of Cenation.

“First, I want to say there will never be another John Cena. He has meant that much to the industry. But I do know when I first started, and to this day, that is who I want to mold myself after and be like…I want to be the female John Cena…I’m going to continue to work as hard and feel that I want to be that way with everything I do,” mentioned the Smackdown Women’s Champion.
