“If we keep fu**ing beating him, it doesn’t matter”; Chris Jericho reveals Vince McMahon’s reaction to him wanting to get defeated against John Cena

Top AEW star Chris Jericho has been one of the most prominent superstars in the wrestling industry these days. The wrestling veteran has a lot of exciting stories keepin his experience in mind which have been very intriguing to know about for a long time now.
One of the stories that Jericho recently opened up about was that he wanted to get defeated against franchise player John Cena in a one-on-one match which Vince McMahon was shocked to hear. The story comes from back in 2002 when Cena was not a very popular Star. Still, Jericho wanted to lose against the youngster keeping his potential in mind.
During an interview on the Kurt Angle Show recently, Jericho owned up about the story and revealed how Vince McMahon recacted when Jericho asked him for the match be wanted to get defeated in. Jericho revealed that McMahon was a little confused after the request. Here’s what he said:
“I called Vince [McMahon] one night when [John] Cena was first starting our first Pay-Per-View and I said, ‘Vince, you have to let me put this guy over’. He said, ‘Why? He doesn’t mean anything.’ I said, ‘He could mean something, but if you just put him on this big Pay-Per-View and I win, then what’s the point?’ because he had just done the big match with you, Kurt [Angle], and it was great, and you beat him as you should have. But if we keep fu**ing beating him, it doesn’t matter.” – Sportskeeda

The former United States Champion has been a part of some brutal matches and rivalries in the recent months which has brough the fans in shock considering the age of the superstar.
Jericho, in a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, had a hell of a match with star Eddie Kingston and then came out to shock the world forming a new stable with Daniel Garcia and Jake Hager, after betraying the Inner Circle, naming the new stable ‘The Chris Jericho Appreciation Society’.
