“Never say never”: Corey Graves wants to team up with wife Carmella

Carmella and Corey
Carmella is, as she claims, “The Most Beautiful Woman in All of WWE”. She has been with WWE for over a decade now and had debuted on WWE as an on-screen manager. In 2016, she went on to make her main roster debut and the highlight of her career came the next year when she went on to win the inaugural Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
This isn’t all, Mella also became the first woman in the history of the company to successfully cash in her Money in the Bank contract – when she pinned Charlotte Flair to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship. While this is the only top Singles title she has won the main roster – Carmella is also a two-time 24/7 Champion and one-time Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Last year, she got engaged to RAW commentator Corey Graves. He is a retired professional wrestler and a former NXT Tag Team Champion. Graves had to announce his retirement in 2014 due to his concussion issues. But we still get to see him as a commentator on the Red brand. Graves and Mella tied the knot earlier this week.
Recently, Corey Graves mentioned that he has been cleared for in-ring action. This led to several speculations that we might soon get to see him team up with his wife on-screen for a Mixed Tag Team match. In a recent interview with WrestlingInc, Graves revealed whom he would like to face with Carmella on his team.
“But then again, you have to deal with Edge & Beth Phoenix, I’m sorry but I don’t want to be Glam Slammed on my face. Big fan of both of them, love to watch them from afar. Miz & Maryse might be a little bit more attainable, I’d never say never,” mentioned the RAW commentator.
Carmella recently lost the Tag Team titles

In November 2021, Carmella and Queen Zelina defeated Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Interestingly, this was their first Tag Team titles. They managed to hold on to the titles for nearly half an year, but they ended up losing them at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
At Wrestlemania 38 – Mella and Zelina put the Women’s Tag Team titles on the line in a Fatal 4-Way match. They faced Shayna Baszler & Natalya, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan and Sasha Banks & Naomi. Banks and Naomi ended up winning the titles.
