WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Sonya Deville could influence the Queen’s Crown tournament result

Baszler assisted Deville

WWE Crown Jewel 2021 is just a couple of days away. With a title of 9 matches on the card, the Saudi Arabia pay per view is completely packed. 4 main roster Championships are going to be on the line and as of now it seems unlikely that any of them will be changing hands. 2 stipulation matches are also a part of the card – with Edge and Rollins battling inside the Hell in a Cell, and Goldberg colliding against Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred match.

Two of the ongoing tournaments – King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown will also be concluding at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. So far, we know one finalist for each of the matches. Finn Balor and Zelina Vega are just one step away from being crowned the winners. While Balor might be up against Jinder Mahal or Xavier Woods, Vega might have to face Shayna Baszler or Doudrop.

But the current scenario suggests that on-screen WWE official, Sonya Deville might play an important role in determining the outcome of the Queen’s Crown tournament. On the recent Supersized Smackdown episode, Deville was advertised to make her in-ring return against Naomi. While she was seen in action, much of the match was fought by Shayna Baszler on behalf of Deville.

Now, Baszler is not someone who would just go out of her way to help Deville, or anyone for that matter. The WWE official might have definitely offered her something in return – and we feel that it could be a win in the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament. Interestingly, Baszler does not necessarily need any help, considering her dominance in the recent weeks. But we could even see Baszler winning and Deville giving her a title shot!

King of the Ring finals will also take place at WWE Crown Jewel 2021

In addition to the Queen’s Crown tournament, we will also be witnessing the finals of the King of the Ring tournament at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. Finn Balor has already booked a spot in the finals and he now awaits his opponent which could either be Xavier Woods and Jinder Mahal. Interestingly, Woods and Balor are quite favorites to win the tournament.

Woods and Balor have been in tremendous form recently. But the only issue is that we have never really seen the winner of King of the Ring to earn anything other than a crown. The only time we got a worthwhile storyline from this feud was the one which involved King Corbin. In fact, the crown works better with a Heel, which is neither Balor nor Woods.
