“Didn’t understand the business”: Hall of Famer calls out Ronda Rousey

Rousey
Ronda Rousey is occupied in one of the biggest of her professional wrestling career. She made a surprise return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2022 and went on to win the over-the-top rope elimination match. She is all set to go after Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania Saturday.
Interestingly, a recurring problem with this feud has been the fact that she is playing the role of a babyface in this feud, but for some reason she always presents herself as a heel! The way she delivers her promos and interacts with the audience is similar to what a heel would do – making it really hard for the WWE Universe to get behind her.
One of the main reasons for the WWE Universe not reacting in favor of her could be the fact that she had made so not-so-nice comments against them a couple of years ago. The fans don’t forget such comments easily, and it could be diminishing Ronda Rousey’s work.
Back when Ronda Rousey had debuted at WWE, the fans used to constantly boo her and even make the “go home” chants. Recently in an interview with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle mentioned the importance of accepting the crowds’ reaction for Rousey’s career. Angle is someone who has worked closely with the “Baddest Woman on the Planet”.
“I think that Ronda didn’t understand the business quite totally,” said Kurt Angle. “The fans are going to react the way they want to react. There is really nothing you can do about it. You can navigate it to a certain extent, but you’re not going to know exactly what kind of responses you’re going to get,” mentioned the WWE Hall of Famer.
Ronda Rousey’s WWE run

After impressing the fans and critics with her in-ring abilities, the Baddest Woman on the Planet went on a break. She was not seen on WWE post Wrestlemania 35 – which she had main-evented with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. She returned to the company at Royal Rumble – which she also went on to win.
Ronda Rousey got involved in a feud with the Smackdown Women’s Champion – which is set to conclude at Wrestlemania Saturday. In the buildup to this, Rousey was even seen in Tag Team action. She had teamed up with Naomi to defeat the team of Flair and Sonya Deville.
