Johnson recently appeared in an interview with IMDb’s Burning Questions and discussed how he and his long time friend Ryan Reynolds first meet. The megastar also explained why he loved working with Reynolds. Here’s what he said:

“I have not known any actor in Hollywood longer than I’ve known Ryan Reynolds. We started our careers together. I had ‘The Scorpion King come out. He had ‘Van Wilder’ come out. We were criss-crossing promotions. We wound up in Cancun on ‘MTV Spring Break’ promoting your movies. We’re like an old couple who bicker and fight. Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds worked together in Netflix film ‘Red Notice’ which released in late 2020. The film was based on the mystery of the third egg of Cleopatra and how their co-star Gal Gadot was always ahead of her. In the end, a twist shocked the world which was never expected throughout the movie potentially being one of the biggest twists in Hollywood history.

The audience loved the movie in and out and the reception of the film also excited Johnson and Reynolds. The movie broke numerous records including one on Netflix which is hard to be broken. Being a movie with comedy as well as action, the audience loved to see both Johnson and Reynolds together because both of them are known for the two genres.
