“Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that’s me”; What is the real life rivalry between Dwayne Johnson and his Fast and Furious co-star Vin Diesel?

Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have been seen together in the Fats and Furious franchise. The two have been the two pillars of the franchise after the great actor Paul Walker’s death. The two are some of the top Hollywood stars and are always on the list of the highest paid actors of the year which brings a lot of fame to them.

But the fans were shocked when they got to know that of their favorite superstars are having a real life heat with each other. The superstars now are always on each other’s radar and don’t even want to work with each other. The rivalry between the two began in 2016 when Johnson jokingly insulted all his male co-stars of the Fast and Furious franchise which nobody gave light to except for Diesel. In 2016, Johnson posted a picture on Instagram with the caption:
โThereโs no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. My female costars are always amazing and I love โem. My male costars, however, are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others donโt. The ones that donโt are too chicken [shit] to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.โ – gq.com
Vin Diesel addressed to Johnson’s joke during an interview with USA Today and denied that any tensions raised between them.
โI think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, heโs Uncle Dwayne. I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne. I protected Dwayne more than heโll ever know. And it doesnโt matter. He doesnโt have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it. Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and thatโs me.” – gq.com
Recently, Vin Diesel also took to Instagram and requested Dwayne to return to the Fast and Furious franchise after the People’s champ denied to return for a final sequel. Here’s what he said on Instagram:

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you donโt send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs canโt be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”
Dwayne Johnson reacted to Vin Diesel’s Instagram post asking him to return to the Fast and Furious Franchise

During an interview with CNN, Johnson addresses Vin Diesel’s Instagram post and bashed his co-star calling it a way of ‘manipulation’. Here’s what the Hollywood megastar said:
โVin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding. My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise with gratitude and grace. It’s unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters.โ – gq.com
