The final PPV before Wrestlemania 37 kicked off with a video package highlighting all the matches on the show. Riddle successfully defended his WWE US title against Mustafa Ali on the kick-off show.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler def. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair (retain WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)
Banks started the match against Baszler. Banks hit a slingshot double knee. Belair tagged in, as Banks hit Baszler with a snapmare. Belair hit a handspring moonsault for a two count. They go into the ropes, and Belair caught Baszler her with a backslide pin. Baszler quickly got away after kneeing Belair in the face.
Nia Jax blind tagged in. Belair forearmed Jax back before Banks tagged in. Jax pushed Banks away and lifted her up, but Banks got out. Banks went for a head-scissor, but Jax didn’t go down. Jax avalanched her down for a near fall.
Banks hit a pair of running meteoras before jumping off Jax and hitting Baszler with a tornado DDT. Belair tagged in and came off the top rope with a 450 splash. Reginald distracted the referee, so Belair knocked him away. Belair and Banks hit a double-team throw/kick combo on Baszler. Banks applied the Bank Statement.
Jax pushed Belair onto Banks. The Wrestlemania 37 got into a verbal altercation. Banks shoved her, so Belair backed up. Baszler rolled Banks for the win. Belair and Banks argued after the match. Banks slapped the EST of WWE and walked off.
Big E def. Apollo Crews (retains WWE Intercontinental Championship)
As the match began, Big E knocked Crews off the apron and hit a Spear to the floor. Big E stomped and choked him with his boot. He connected with a big splash on the apron. Big E talked more trash and hit another splash on the apron.
Crews tried to fight back with some punches, but Big E grabbed him and hit an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Crews dropkicked him in the knee and hit a trio of German Suplexes. He applied a waistlock, but Big E elbowed out.
Crews sent him to the corner before going for a small package. They roll through, and Big E shifted his weight at the last second to pin Crews and retain his title. Crews attacked Big E after the match, and hit three Olympic Slams.
Braun Strowman def. Elias
Strowman threw Elias outside the ring. Elias discussed a strategy with Strowman but he grabbed Elias and sent him into the ringpost. Ryker pulled Elias out of the ring to avoid an avalanche. The referee started to count Elias out, so Ryker put him back in the ring.
If Strowman won, he’ll be going to WrestleMania. Ryker distracted Strowman, so Elias chop blocked him and hit a DDT for a two count. Strowman avalanched Elias twice followed by a big slam. Strowman hit a Running Powerslam for the win.
Seth Rollins def. Shinsuke Nakamura
Rollins quickly hooked a side headlock as the match began and laughed in his ear. Nakamura whipped him off and turned him inside out with a knee to the midsection. Nakamura went for a spin kick, but Rollins rolled out of the ring.
Rollins bounced Nakamura off the commentary table and got in the ring. He shouted about disrespect and kneed Nakamura in the midsection three times. Rollins shouted that Cesaro swung him 22 times. He sets up for a Cesaro Swing on Nakamura, but Nakamura countered into an arm bar.
Rollins angrily got up and charged, but Nakamura hit a Landslide for a near fall. Nakamura connected with an inverted exploder and tried for the Kinshasa, but Rollins avoided it. Rollins forearmed him in the back of the head and hit a kick to the skull. He followed up with a Stomp for the win.
Drew McIntyre def. Sheamus in a No Holds Barred match
McIntyre came out with the blue and white face paint. They started brawling as the match began. McIntyre reversed a whip, but he lowered his head and got kicked. The action continued outside the ring, as McIntyre punched Sheamus against the commentary table. He grabbed some kendo sticks. Sheamus too grabbed some sticks but McIntyre sent him into the steel steps.
Sheamus dug the kendo stick into McIntyre’s mouth but McIntyre fought out and hit a Glasgow Kiss. McIntyre put the kendo stick over Sheamus’ throat and hit a side leg sweep before digging the point of the kendo stick into Sheamus’ eye.
The brawl continued into the Thunderdome as McIntyre dropped Sheamus into the metal barricades. They continued among the video screens showing fans. Sheamus hit McIntyre with a rolling senton on the exposed floor. Sheamus continued to club away at McIntyre before lifting him up. McIntyre slid off and threw Sheamus through the video wall as sparks flew everywhere.
McIntyre then put the Celtic Warrior on a crate and wheeled him to the ringside. He suplexed Sheamus on the exposed floor. Sheamus fought back and Brogue Kick-ed McIntyre over the barricade. He followed with a White Noise through the commentary table.
Sheamus grabbed a part of the broken commentary table and went inside the ring. He went for the Alabama Slam on the table piece, but McIntyre countered. McIntyre hit a Future Shock DDT on the table piece and immediately followed up with a Claymore Kick for the win. He looked emotional after the match.
Alexa Bliss def. Randy Orton in an Intergender match
While Randy Orton was posing on the turnbuckle for his entrance, he began to vomit the black liquid. Orton got angry and demanded a towel. Bliss made her entrance laughing. As she got in the ring, the lights went purple.
Orton approached Bliss, but a wall of fire cuts him off. Bliss laughed. Orton charged again, but she sidestepped as Orton went into the ring post shoulder-first. Bliss looked up with a smile and then went stone-faced, making a lighting rig fall down at his feet.
Bliss blew a kiss to him. Orton charged, so she blew a fireball in his face. A burnt hand reached up from under the ring and grabbed Orton’s ankle. Fire blew up from the hole in the ring and a burnt Fiend emerged from under the ring. The Fiend hit a Sister Abigail on Orton. Bliss sat on Orton and picked up the win.
Roman Reigns def. Daniel Bryan with Special Enforcer Edge (retains WWE Universal Championship)
Bryan was smiling as he jogged around the ring. Reigns backed him into the corner, but Bryan slid out and kicked him in the thigh before backing up. Bryan quickly took Reigns down and went for a heel hook, but Reigns desperately caught to the bottom rope. Bryan said, “Any time, brother!”
They went for a test of strength. Reigns bended the wrists back and applied pressure, bringing Bryan down to his knees. Bryan twists out. Bryan backed to the corner and did a “YES” taunt as an angry Reigns got to his feet.
Reigns started taking Bryan down with series of strikes. Reigns slammed him into the corner before hitting the ropes, but Bryan dropkicked him down. Bryan ducked a punch and started kicking and punching him in the corner. Reigns reversed a whip to the corner, but Bryan climbed the ropes and backflipped over him.
Reigns talked trash to Edge at ringside before going outside to send Bryan into the barricade. Reigns got in the ring to stop the count. Reigns went back outside, but Bryan attacked him. Paul Heyman told Bryan to acknowledge the Tribal Chief.
Bryan started kicking Reigns’ chest with YES Kicks. Reigns blocked one and powered him to the corner. Reigns went for a powerbomb, but Bryan countered into a hurricanrana and a pair of big kicks to the head.
Bryan said he’s going to break Reigns. Bryan grabbed the arms and started stomping Reigns’ face. Bryan immediately transitioned into a YES Lock. Reigns screamed in pain.0 Reigns managed to break the grip and viciously punched away at Bryan.
Roman Reigns went for a Spear, but Bryan kicked him in the face! Bryan went for a Busaiku Knee, but Reigns ducked causing Bryan to wipe out the referee. Reigns quickly hit Bryan with a Spear. Edge looked around before getting in the ring and counting the pin but Bryan kicked out. Reigns questioned the count given by Edge.
Jey Uso ran in and superkicked Edge before superkicking Bryan. Uso sent Edge shoulder-first into the ring post before swinging the steel chair at Bryan. Bryan avoided it and hit a Busaiku Knee on Uso. Bryan smashed Jey Uso with the chair a number of times. Bryan went to hit Reigns with the chair, but he ducked and Edge got hit.
Reigns hit Bryan with a Superman Punch. He went for the Spear, but Bryan countered into a YES Lock. Reigns screamed in pain and started to fade away before lightly tapping out. There was no referee.
All of a sudden, Edge smacked Bryan in the back with a steel chair. He hits Reigns with the chair and stormed off. Edge shouted that this belonged to him. A new referee ran into the ring as Reigns crawled over and pinned the unconscious Bryan for the win.
