“I will be extremely devastating”: Former Champion wants to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38

Beast Incarnate
Brock Lesnar made his thunderous return to WWE in the final moments of Summerslam 2021. He went straight after the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Interestingly, the Beast Incarnate was a babyface in this feud as Reigns continued to be his usual Heel self. Since the beginning the plan for these two was to have a trilogy of matches.
After feuding for nearly a month, the Tribal Chief and the Beast Incarnate collided at Crown Jewel. After interferences from Paul Heyman and The Usos, Reigns managed to retain his title. Their second collision was scheduled for Day 1, but Reigns tested positive for Covid and that significantly changed the plans.
Brock Lesnar ended up coming out as the WWE Champion. It started seeing like WWE was now going ahead with a Champion vs Champion match for the main event of Wrestlemania 38. But that speculations came to rest when Bobby Lashley managed to pin Lesnar to win the title at Royal Rumble 2022.
After Lesnar went on to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match – the main event of Wrestlemania was officially announced with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. But now it seems like another former Universal Champion believes he could headline Wrestlemania 38. While appearing on Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast, Goldberg mentioned that he could change the Wrestlemania main event.
“What I just did to Bobby. I personally don’t believe there’s any other explanation than that. I still have the ability to be extremely devastating, I really do,” mentioned the former Universal Champion. He could be referencing to the fact that just like Lashley went on a break after Crown Jewel – Reigns could be sent on one too.
Brock Lesnar will be entering the Elimination Chamber

The Beast Incarnate will be entering the Elimination Chamber along with current Champion Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, Riddle and AJ Styles. He would be hoping to walk out as the WWE Champion in order to make the Wrestlemania main event a Champion vs Champion bout.
On the other hand, Goldberg’s words might come true. In case he manages to pin Roman Reigns and win the Universal Championship, he will be setting up a mammoth clash of Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. But realistically, considering how short Lesnar vs Goldberg matches are – fans would be cheering for the originally announced match more!
