Ric Flair, who is a WWE Hall of Famer, revealed he texted Cody Rhodes after he quit AEW.
The American Nightmare and his wife Brandi just left the company, and it’s been speculated that WWE is interested in reuniting them. Many supporters were taken aback when he announced his retirement, considering he was one of the original members of AEW.

The Nature Boy Ric Flair remarked on the most recent episode of the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast that he doesn’t know why Cody Rhodes left, but he wishes him the best. Ric Flair also revealed that following his exit, he texted Cody with some advice.

“I don’t have a guess, I just wish him the best of luck and to always hold his head high and remember who he is,” said Ric Flair. “I just think when he left, I’m not sure if you call it good or bad terms, but when he left there were some issues over the trademark issues which there always will be.

“He left and made it on his own and then he and Tony hooked up… I don’t know, without giving you false information, I don’t know why he left,” Flair added. “I can find out, I heard back from him, we texted each other and I just said ‘Be who you are, don’t take any sh*t from anybody,’ that’s what I told him.” (H/T Wrestling Inc.)

Re-signing with WWE as the former TNT Champion would be a significant move, as it would make him the first prominent AEW star to do so. Cody Rhodes might come back as Stardust or as his current character.
Ric Flair stated on the programme that WWE would embrace Cody Rhodes back with arms wide open. After seeking his release, he left the promotion in 2016. Returning would be a significant step for him.
