WWE Hall of Famer teases feud with Charlotte Flair

Flair
Charlotte Flair is considered to be among the all-time greats in WWE. With 13 Championship reigns in WWE, she is the most successful Women in WWE. In fact, there only a couple of Superstars like John Cena and Randy Orton who’ve had won more Championships than the “Queen” of WWE. Currently Flair holds the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
2021 has been a rollercoaster year for the current Smackdown Women’s Champion. She was all set to go after the Raw Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 37, but she tested Covid positive and was subsequently removed from the card. As soon as she returned to the company, she was suspended and eventually reinstated – for storyline purposes.
Things started looking up for Charlotte Flair, after she managed to win the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank, after defeating Rhea Ripley. But she ended up losing the title within 24 hours after Nikki A.S.H. cashed in her MITB contract. Flair managed to regain the title at Summerslam, and has been a Champion ever since. She exchanged her title with Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, due to the WWE Draft 2021.
But now it seems like a new challenger has stepped up to her – and she might be the most experienced for Flair till date! Impact’s Knockout Champion Mickie James has teased a feud with Flair. Although James is a part of the IMPACT roster, she has been advertised to participate in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Seemingly, the “Forbidden Door” of WWE has been opened, allowing talents from other promotions to appear on WWE. While there is no clarity whether James will be making a one-off appearance or more, but she does seem interested in going after the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Charlotte Flair had tweeted an image of herself, to which James replied – “Hi Its me.”
Charlotte Flair last feuded with Toni Storm

The Smackdown Women’s Champion has so far been a part of just one feud – since she got hold the top Championship of the Blue brand. Toni Storm, who is no longer with the company, had challenged Charlotte Flair for the title, but had failed to capture it. Since then, it seemed like WWE was planning a feud between Flair and Sasha Banks, but “The Boss” has been ruled out of action for a few weeks due to an injury.
Interestingly, Flair has decided to enter the 30-Woman Royal Rumble match. It would be interesting to see that who eliminates her and who gets eliminated by her – as it would have a larger implication on the future feuds. In fact, Flair could go the distance and rekindle her feud against Becky Lynch.
