Amid a string of unfavorable updates concerning Seth Rollins, the latest on him could be seen as a silver lining. Dave Meltzer noted during his Wrestling Observer Radio that the 6-time world champion is slated to undergo surgery. The nature of it is still unknown, as he’s yet to be evaluated. His recovery time will depend on how everything goes.

That being said, Meltzer affirmed that there’s hope within WWE that Rollins will be available for next year’s WrestleMania. A previous report from PWInsider revealed that the 39-year-old is seemingly headed for a shoulder or rotator cuff surgery. If that’s the case, things could get worse for ‘The Visionary’ en route to WrestleMania, as he’ll be running against the clock to make it.

The exact spot that left Rollins injured was the coast-to-coast headbutt he executed on Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. The former ‘Monday Night Messiah’ ended up crashing his left shoulder into the mat quite awkwardly. That should wipe away the cynicism encircling the injury, as some are still waiting to see if Rollins is faking it again like he did with his knee to orchestrate the Ruse of the Century at SummerSlam.

Had Rollins not been legitimately hurt, he’d have gone on to defend his world title against CM Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1. The ‘Best in the World’ beat Jey Uso and LA Knight to earn the title shot. What followed it on Raw was unforeseen.

After Rollins and his men took out all three competitors of that three-way clash, the Vision leader got betrayed by his stablemates. It started with Bron Breakker spearing the WWE vet, and Bronson Reed soon joined the party by flattening Rollins with a Tsunami. Paul Heyman ultimately sided with the Brons after they threatened him to do so.

Adam Pearce to provide an update on Seth Rollins on Raw

This week’s Raw will be an interesting one in regard to the future of The Vision. After kicking out its leader of the stable, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman hold the keys to the kingdom. The trio is expected to wreak more havoc in the weeks to come.

However, it’ll be interesting to see what happens to the World Heavyweight title, which is all but certain to be stripped off Seth Rollins’ shoulder with the kind of injury he’s dealing with. On this week’s Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce will provide an update on ‘The Architect’ after what transpired last Monday.

The fate of the top prize on the red brand is also expected to be determined, with rumors of WWE holding a tournament to crown a new champion. However, the company could also schedule a singles match between CM Punk and LA Knight for the vacant world title at Saturday Night’s Main Event. ‘The Megastar’ might sneak in as a lucky loser because he didn’t get pinned in last week’s triple-threat bout for No. 1 contendership.

What is Seth Rollins’ expected feud for WrestleMania 42?

As WWE is hopeful for a Seth Rollins return well ahead of WrestleMania 42, it’s important to note what could be his potential matchup at the Grandest Stage of Them All if he does come back sooner than later. As per WON, he was scheduled to close one night of the show with his former Shield brother, Roman Reigns.

But it’s obviously in limbo until Rollins makes a complete recovery, and that too in time. There’s over a decade of history between Reigns and Rollins. ‘The Visionary’ is a major part of the reason why Reigns lost the world title at WrestleMania XL to Cody Rhodes. ‘The OTC’ couldn’t let go of years of animosity that he must’ve harbored for the Iowa native over what he did to The Shield in June 2014.

Fast forward to this year’s WrestleMania, Rollins once again proved to have Reigns’ number by pinning him in what turned out to be one of the greatest triple threat matches in WrestleMania history. If the stars align themselves, the fans may finally get to see these two men wrestle one-on-one at WWE’s biggest show of the year in 2026.
