Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards after the latter made an obscene joke about his wife, and it has the entire world talking. In regard to Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss, Rock made a G.I. Jane joke, a well-known depiction for which actress Demi Moore cut her head bald. Pinkett Smith suffers from alopecia, a disorder in which her hair falls out.
On social media, the slap has gone viral, with many celebrities and sports leaders remarking on it. Will Smith has also received a lot of criticism for his awful behaviour with some words coming from Howard Stern.
Howard Stern says Will Smith has an emotional problem
When Will Smith smacked Chris Rock at the Academy Awards on Sunday, Howard Stern was as surprised as everyone else — and he’s positive the Oscar winner wouldn’t have acted that way if the presenter had been more buff. He said that if it had been Jason Mamao – The Aquaman star or Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Will Smith wouldn’t have done what he did to Chris Rock.
“If Jason Momoa had made that joke, Will Smith, like a b*tch, would have said, ‘Thank you for acknowledging my wife, Mr Momoa,’” Howard Stern said on his Monday SiriusXM show.
Stern further went on to speak on how Smith has changed as a person and how he used to do sitcoms back in the 1990s. Will Smith has now transformed into an action hero with his most highlighting role coming from his portrayal of the fighter “Muhammad Ali”. “What happened afterwards was disturbing to me,” Stern said. “Will Smith sits back down in his chair. He clearly has an emotional problem.”
Stern praised Rock as a “kind soul,” claimed Smith was “obviously insane,” and marvelled at Rock’s ability to keep his cool while Smith stayed in the building. He claimed Smith got away with it because he is a well-known figure.
