Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 was a short, but overall entertaining match. It also marked the first time Brock Lesnar beat Goldberg. In their first rivalry, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg delivered a pretty underwhelming match in 2004. Shortly after that, the two megastars left WWE.
After his return in 2016, WWE wasted no time in re-igniting the flames between Goldberg and The Beast. In their series of confrontations, Goldberg always had the upper hand, even defeating Lesnar in 86 seconds at 2016’s Survivor Series. However, Lesnar got his redemption at The Showcase of The Immortals, where he defeated Goldberg to capture the Universal Championship and put an end to their rivalry.
4. Winning the 2003 Royal Rumble Match
In the final moments of the 2003 Royal Rumble match, it was a dire situation for The Beast. He was all alone in the ring with The Brothers of Destruction- The Undertaker and Kane.
In a shocking turn of events, however, The Undertaker turned his attention to The Devil’s Favourite Demon and eliminated him from the ring instead. This would turn out to be a fatal mistake for The Deadman, as it gave Brock Lesnar the perfect opportunity to eliminate Undertaker. Lesnar won the match and went on to main event of WrestleMania against Kurt Angle.
3. The Beast Returns to WWE
In 2012, there were rumors circulating that The Beast would finally make his return to WWE. And as it turns out, the rumors were true. Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after nearly 8 years away from the company. Lesnar was now a bigger star due to his time in UFC.
Monday Night RAW received it’s highest pop in years as The Beast made his way to the ring and decimated John Cena with an F5 in the center of the ring. The entire arena had exploded in “We Want Lesnar” chants prior to his appearance. This goes to show how much of a fan favorite Lesnar was.
2. Defeating The Rock for the WWE Championship
Lesnar had just joined WWE in 2002, and he immediately rose to popularity. He was the Next Big Thing and after a King of The Ring victory, Lesnar set his sights on the WWE Championship. No one expected him to actually defeat a megastar like The Rock, but miraculously, it did happen.
Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock at SummerSlam 2002 to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. In doing so, he also became the first rookie to win a championship as well as the youngest WWE Champion in WWE history.
1. Ending The Undertaker’s streak
No one expected their match at WrestleMania to end as it did. After seeing The Deadman prevail in 21 consecutive WrestleManias, fans expected him to beat Brock Lesnar as well.
