“She is the total package”: 2-time Champion willing to return to face Charlotte Flair
Smackdown Women's Champion
Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest Superstars on the WWE roster currently. She is also the most successful Superstar in the entire women’s division in the entire Women’s division – in terms of her World Championship reigns. Currently holding the Smackdown Women’s Championship, the Queen is in her 13th reign as a WWE World Champion.
Flair’s 13th reign as the Champion kicked off at Summerslam 2021 – when she emerged victorious in a Triple Threat match, featuring Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. as well, to become the Raw Women’s Champion. But the 2021 WWE Draft forced her to exchange the title for the Smackdown Women’s Championship with Becky Lynch.
Since becoming the top Champion of the Blue brand, Charlotte Flair has defended the title against the likes of Naomi, Toni Storm and Ronda Rousey. There is no doubt that having been a Champion for over a dozen times – Flair has faced almost every top Superstar in the company.
But now it seems like Charlotte Flair’s dominance is even encouraging Superstars to come out of retirement to face her! Former WWE Superstar Jazz, who was one of the top women for the company in 2001-2004, has said that she could return to WWE to face Flair. She mentioned the same while speaking on Rene Dupree’s Café de Rene podcast.
“If I get a knee replacement, get back in shape, I’ll come out and wrestle Charlotte Flair. She’s a worker, you know, and I love it. She’s a worker, man. She’s the total package, she really is,” mentioned the 2-time Women’s Champion.
Charlotte Flair will face Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania Backlash
In the co-main event of Wrestlemania Saturday, Charlotte Flair successfully defended the Smackdown Women’s Championship against The Baddest Woman on the Planet – Ronda Rousey. But interestingly, the match did not have a clean finish – hinting that the feud would continue and that’s exactly what happened.
On the latest episode of Smackdown, Rousey issued a challenge for a rematch to Flair. But this time she wanted an I Quit match. While Flair initially the challenge was outrightly rejected – WWE soon announced the match officially, with the I Quit stipulation.
