Karrion Kross has a surprising take on return rumors

2-time NXT Champion

Karrion Kross, currently known as Killer Kross is an American professional wrestler, who recently released from WWE. After performing on multiple independent promotions, Major League Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and Impact Wrestling, Kross was signed by WWE in 2020. Interestingly, prior to his signing with the company, Kross had made a one-off appearance for WWE, way back in 2015.

Kross debuted for the company in 2020 and immediately became a fan favorite with his unbeaten streak. He was managed on-screen by his wife Scarlett Bordeaux. Kross went on to become the NXT Champion but had to relinquish the title due to a real-life injury. But his dominant undefeated run continued until his last match on the brand – where he lost to Samoa Joe.

Karrion Kross was soon moved to the main roster – with a changed gimmick and failed to impress the fans in the way he did on the black and gold brand. Soon his and Scarlett’s released was announced by the company. WWE has been on a releasing spree and despite being among the top Superstars of the company – their release didn’t really shock the WWE Universe.

The 2-time NXT Champion recently appeared for an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, where he opened up about the possibility of returning to the company. Surprisingly, Kross is open to returning to WWE but only under different creative circumstances.

“I wouldn’t be surprised. I respectfully wouldn’t go back in the same circumstances. Out of a logical standpoint, I definitely think I would be interested in a lot more certainty about things,” mentioned Kross.

While on NXT, Karrion Kross was among one of the most dominant Superstars, his run on main roster was poles apart. He debuted on Raw, while he was the NXT Champion – and shockingly, suffered a defeat in his first match itself! He lost to Jeff Hardy under two minutes – this marked his first-ever loss on WWE.

Post this loss, Kross went on to lose the title too. He was then moved to the Raw roster – and given a new look with a gladiator helmet and suspenders! The fans outright hated this experiment. WWE tried hard to build his persona once again, but he was eventually released from the company.
