Wrestling legend Sting impresses fans with his performance on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam

AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam is officially in the cards. The event had several shocking moments throughout the night. All Elite Wrestling’s event began with a brutal bout between Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega, which ended in a Time Limit Draw!

The event also witnessed a controversial end to the battle between Malakai Black and Cody Rhodes. But one of the best aspects of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam was wrestling legend – “The Icon” Sting. He teamed up with Darby Allin to face FTR during the event.

The match kicked off with Sting being double teamed on, by FTR, but he countered with a series of clotheslines, and there was no turning back since then. The match predominantly revolved around The Icon. He was down numerous times, and he always managed to comeback with Double Facebusters, clotheslines and spinebusters.

Sting even ended the match with Stinger Death Drop and even forced Dax to tap out to his Scorpion Death Lock. His performance, at the age of 62, stole the show completely and people took to Twitter to applaud him.

Sting, is one of the biggest Superstars of the professional wrestling industry. In a legendary career that spans over five decades, Sting has won 14 World Championships through his time on several wrestling promotions like WWE, WCW, TNA, AEW among others.

The Icon debuted on All Elite Wrestling in December 2020 and aligned himself with Darby Allin in January, 2021. The two stars of AEW have so far a clean record on the promotion. The win against FTR at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam was their fourth win in as many matches!
