“She needed to cheat to win,” Liv Morgan reacts to her controversial loss on Raw

Liv Morgan is currently in the best phase of her professional wrestling career. She has been with the company since 2014, when she was signed to perform on NXT. Her career began as a jobber. In fact despite of being with the company since 2014, Morgan picked up her first televised win in August 2016.
In 2017, Morgan debuted on the main roster, alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. They were known as The Riott Squad and Morgan primarily performed as a Tag Team Superstar. It took her a couple of years, before she kicked off her run as a singles Superstar. There is no doubt that Morgan has immense ability as an in-ring performer, but it has only been a couple of months since she has started getting the push that she long deserved.
In November, Liv Morgan defeated Bianca Belair, Carmella, Queen Zelina and Rhea Ripley in a Fatal 5-Way match to become the No.1 Contender for the Raw Women’s Championship, currently held by Becky Lynch. Morgan got her title shot, on the latest episode of Raw. Lynch and Morgan collided for the title, in the main event of the Red brand. Following the trend in her recent matches, Lynch used the ropes for leverage, and win via pinfall.
The fans were clearly unimpressed with the controversial end to the match. Morgan is expected to continue her feud with The Man. In a backstage post-match interview, a visibly emotional Liv Morgan mentioned that the feud was far from over.
“Its not the outcome I wanted, at all. But I know I’ve made my family proud. I’ve made my mum proud. I know I’ve made my friends proud, the fans proud. And I’ve myself proud. This is not done by any means. She needed to cheat to win. This is far from over,” mentioned Morgan.
AEW star reacted to Liv Morgan’s loss
Moments after Becky Lynch pinned Liv Morgan, using the ropes, Morgan’s close friend and former WWE Superstar, Ruby Riott, took to Twitter to encourage her friend. Riott is currently a part of the All Elite Wrestling roster. “No matter what, she’s a damn star! #WatchHer” – tweeted Soho.
As mentioned above, Morgan and Ruby Soho have performed together quite often as Tag Team partners. They are quite close friends in real-life, and it was heartwarming to see Ruby to support Liv, despite of them being on competitive brands. Morgan is expected to discuss the future of her feud on next week’s episode of Raw.
