Mandy Rose emerges as the new challenger for NXT Women’s Championship

Mandy Rose has been impressing the WWE Universe week after week, since moving to the colorful brand of WWE – NXT. During her time on the main roster, Rose was majorly seen as a Tag Team superstar, but since returning to NXT – Rose has been packaged into a completely new character.
Rose has been a clear Heel since her return and has been developed carefully. Since returning to the colorful brand, Rose, first formed her own stable – Toxic Attraction with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. First she ensured that her stablemates got an opportunity at the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles. Then she herself targeted the NXT Women’s Championship.
Raquel Gonzalez, the current NXT Women’s Champion put her title on the line against Frank Money, in the main event. After an exciting encounter, Gonzalez managed to retain her title. But as soon as the match got over, Toxic Attraction, led by Mandy Rose came down to the ring and attacked Gonzalez.
Rose is going to be the newest challenger for Gonzalez. This marks the first time Rose might get a singles title run. Considering she is one of the biggest Superstars on the roster, Rose could be the biggest threat for Gonzalez. We could see them in a considerably long feud, with the title changing hands a couple of times.
Mandy Rose feels that she has returned to her roots
Rose had signed with WWE in 2015, after she appeared in the sixth season of Tough Enough. She had finished second. Post her signing, Rose was sent to the developmental brand of NXT. She performed there for 2 seasons before moving to the main roster.
On the WWE main roster, Mandy Rose had formed a successful Tag Team with Sonya Deville, and was briefly teamed with Dana Brooke. After nearly three and a half years on the main roster, “The Golden Goddess” moved back to NXT. She recently appeared for an interview with DAZN, where she mentioned that rebranding of NXT coincided with Mandy Rose 2.0
“NXT needed a woman like me. I don’t have the most experience in wrestling compared to some of the women and a lot of the women in all of WWE. But when it comes to mainstream qualities, I have a lot of those…it’s rebranding my character a little bit. I always think it’s great to evolve…So I wanted to switch things up a little bit…I have a little bit more creative say as well, which is really cool. The whole new brand of NXT 2.0 and Mandy 2.0, it’s all coincides. It’s just the beginning,” mentioned Rose.
Mandy Rose is currently a leader of the stable – Toxic Attraction, which also includes Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jane. It is being reported that NXT Superstars might be included in the WWE Draft this year, but considering the momentum that Rose has, it is unlikely to shift her to the main roster again.
