In its yearly #OnlyOnTwitter blog article published on Thursday, Twitter unveiled its honours for 2021. According to the social network, each account can only have one tweet, and tweets that offer benefits in return for followers or engagement are not taken into account.

Sasha & Bianca make it to the list of Top 5 Most tweeted about Female Athletes

The pair entered a field that includes Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles of the United States, as well as tennis superstars Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams. As per Twitter data, Biles was the most tweeted about the female athlete, but the Tokyo Olympics was the most tweeted about the athletic events.
“Congratulations to Banks and Belair, who undoubtedly intend to run it back and be two of the most discussed WWE Superstars of 2022 and beyond!” WWE said in a statement accompanying the revelation of the top five most tweeted about women’s athletics.

Following this, Naomi made it to Twitter expressing her emotions regarding the two achieving this feat.

Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair are two of the most well-known female wrestlers. That isn’t anything anyone feels the need to tell their fans. The Boss and The EST of WWE, who made history earlier this year by becoming the first Black women to headline WrestleMania, were named in the top five most tweeted about women in 2021 by Front Office Sports. 

Furthermore, even the daughter of Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon retweeted the tweet with ‘Power’ emojis indicating the superiority of Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair

The top 5 most tweeted about men’s athletes in 2021, according to Twitter data for the year. That list, meanwhile, did not include any WWE superstars and instead included NBA and NFL legends.
