Bianca Belair and John Cena

Bianca Belair has shown her dominance on Raw for almost a year now. The EST of WWE has single-handedly defeated every challenger and proved why she holds the top women’s title on the red brand. However, there was a period when she was chasing the title after suffering an embarrassing loss at SummerSlam 2021. It was at this time that Belair received a crucial bit of advice from John Cena.

In a recent conversation with Ryan Satin on the Out of Character podcast, the EST looked back at the low point in her career where she lost the Smackdown women’s title in 26 seconds to Becky Lynch. Belair went on to win the women’s Royal Rumble match the following year and challenged Lynch once again at WrestleMania. This time, the Master of KOD came out on top winning the Raw women’s championship. In hindsight, she was grateful that it turned into a “beautiful year-long storyline.”

Bianca Belair also revealed how her husband Montez Ford and John Cena helped her get back up after the Summerslam match. She said, “That 26-second moment was tough for me. I remember going to my husband. We always allow each other to vent. Then we’re like,’ Okay, I’m validating your feelings, but how do we get out of this? Like, we can’t stay here in this mindset. Let’s look at the bigger picture.’ Then John Cena was there. He pulled me aside and he talked to me. He really helped me with my perspective of that, and it’s going to carry with me for the rest of my career.”

It seems that the EST has already punched her ticket to WrestleMania after she successfully defended her title at the Royal Rumble. However, her opponent for the biggest event of the year is still not known. This Saturday at Elimination Chamber, six women will compete inside the eponymous cage to get a shot at the Raw women’s title under the brightest lights.

Asuka is the current favorite to win the upcoming Chamber match in Montreal. Ever since she reintroduced her “Kana” character at Royal Rumble, the fans have been eager to see Asuka in a more prominent role. Despite having an undefeated streak at the beginning of her WWE career, the Empress of Tomorrow has lost all her WrestleMania matches so far. On the other hand, Bianca Belair also has a major challenge at the Grandest Stage of Them All, as she will complete one year as the Raw women’s champion if she successfully defends her title at the show.
