29-year-old Superstar hints at being the mystery superstar in the US Title tournament on SmackDown

WWE Universe saw the return of Logan Paul on this week’s SmackDown. During his promo, he heralded a tournament that will determine his future challenger. What caught everyone’s eyes was the blank spot opened for a talent from NXT. It seems people have possibly identified Carmelo Hayes as the person who’ll fill it.
Just after the tournament was declared, many fans noticed the tweet by the A-Champ. In the post, Melo can be seen holding the vintage version of the United States Title. This title design belonged to the third reign of John Cena when he decided to customize it into a spinner version.
Many fans believe that Melo has seemingly done all that he could in WWE NXT. They await his debut on the main roster. A tournament like this could be an exceptional occasion for the debut of the former WWE NXT Champion.
Melo has been a huge admirer of John Cena. His dream came true when he shared the stage with the Greatest of All Time and the Undertaker. It would be a big Deja Vu for the fans if they see Melo going for the US title. In a way, retracing the steps that Cena took after his main roster debut.
Trick Williams talks about learning from Carmelo Hayes and making plays in WWE
