Brock Lesnar attacks Cody Rhodes (via WWE)
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw officially confirmed the progression of the feud between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate appeared on the show and wreaked havoc on The American Nightmare. He cost Rhodes his triple threat qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship.
After securing a pinfall victory over Brock Lesnar at WWE Backlash, Cody Rhodes shifted his focus towards winning the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. This week on Raw, he faced Finn Balor and The Miz in a triple threat match. The American Nightmare was about to win until Brock Lesnar interfered in the match, pulling Cody out of the ring and ambushing him.
Brock Lesnar made his surprise return this week on Raw. He unleashed his rage on Cody Rhodes, putting him through the announce table. While he held Cody in his arms after attacking him, a kid’s voice was heard from behind yelling,“Kill him!” The Beast Incarnate challenged Cody Rhodes to a match at the Night of Champions.
Lesnar’s challenge was then accepted by Cody Rhodes later backstage. As a result, WWE made the match official for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. The segment that took place this week on Monday Night Raw added fuel to their ongoing feud. Therefore, fans are on the edge of their seats to witness the bout between two top stars in the company.

When it comes to dominance, Brock Lesnar has truly defined the term. Known for his sheer strength, The Beast has wreaked havoc and destroyed every superstar that has come his way. However, there have been a few superstars who have managed to slay the Beast Incarnate. During the main event of WWE Backlash, The American Nightmare pinned Brock Lesnar, ending his seven-year undefeated streak of winning every non-title match at premium live events. Lesnar’s last defeat came against Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016.
John Cena is one of those four superstars who defeated Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012. On the other hand, Triple H also did the same when he slayed The Beast at WrestleMania 29. Cody Rhodes recently joined the exclusive list of superstars along with Cena, Triple H and Goldberg. These four superstars have been the only wrestlers to have slayed Brock Lesnar in a non-title match over the course of 11 years.
