Fans Concerned as 37-Year-Old WWE Star Posts Cryptic Tweet After Raw

WWE superstar after Raw

One of the most popular and entertaining personalities on the current WWE roster is Akira Tozawa. Akira had been in the 24/7 Championship segments for more than a year, and after Triple H retired the championship, he may have decided to leave the company or something else altogether.

After being away from WWE TV for a few weeks, Akira Tozawa returned the November 14 edition of Raw. He was involved in a backstage poker segment with Baron Corbin and JBL, which eventually led to a match between him and Corbin. Sadly, Corbin got the better of the former 24/7 Champion.

After the match, Tozawa made a cryptic tweet that got fans talking. He tweeted a picture of his Ninja-like ring gear and wrote “Thank You.” This sent fans into a frenzy as they were split in two. One set of fans believed Tozawa was done with WWE, while others believed a character change was incoming.

Tozawa’s segment with Baron Corbin was entertaining to say the least. If Akira Tozawa is returning with a new character, then a feud with Corbin would definitely be appreciated. After all, Tozawa is a wonderful wrestler, and could add a lot with a strong character.

Akira’s career experienced a significant boost since the 24/7 title came on the main roster. The title had only been around for a few years but received a lot of attention from fans and some of its best iconic moments are still considered very entertaining.

Earlier this year, Tozawa and Tamina were involved in a hilarious romantic angle while chasing for the 24/7 Championship. In fact, the master of the Senton was an integral part of the 24/7 title picture. But with the title out of WWE programming now, it seems like a character change is incoming.

While many fans believe this is an end of his WWE career, the Triple H may actually convince him to stay and utilize him in a siginifcant way. After all, Tozawa is a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and can be a great addition to the golden brand.
