Former Women’s Tag-Team Champion Aliyah confirms she’s out with multiple injuries

Aliyah on Smackdown

Residing in Toronto, Aliyah is one of those young commer names on the WWE main roster who were when just about to gain some momentum through victories, she got banged up with medical issues. She also wrestled on the independent circuit before entering WWE in 2015. Aliyah is the first ever champion in WWE with an Arab-Canadian descent.

The 27 year old also holds the record for the fastest ever win against any superstar and Aliyah earned this milestone when she defeated Natalya in 3:17 seconds on an episode of Smackdown. The win forced some considerable eyeballs on her which could’ve been fruitful to her growth had she got inserted into a prominent storyline right after that.

The creative kept booking her randomly here and there with most recently when she was involved getting beaten up by Lacey Evans week after another until WWE abruptly ended the progress without reaching to any conclusion for this.

Shortly after her shenanigans with Lacey Evans, the upstart was put in a Tag-Team with former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Rodriguez. The duo started well in the Women’s Tag-Team tournament and while Raquel was playing her part as the powerhouse of the two, Aliyah displayed her technical and creative offenses.

They won the WWE Women’s Tag-Team titles as well but their reign was cut short courtesy of Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY 14 days after the former became champs. We have not seen Aliyah since then on television, however she recently shared an update about herself via an Instagram post revealing that she suffered an elevated first rib and AC Sprain during her rematch on Raw.
