Apollo Crews confronts bron breakker on NXT

Apollo Crews is back to NXT. For the first time since 2016, Apollo Crews returned to the NXT Brand and came face to face with NXT Champion Bron Breakker. Crews stated that he’s excited to create history with Bron in future and he’s on the brand to make history.

The Crowd started chanting “Welcome back”, just when crews’ theme hit the arena, crews had a big smile on his face and was thankful for this warm welcome, he said “This is the type of energy that I have missed,” without his Nigerian accent.

Apollo Crews drops his Nigerian Accent

Apollo crews lost his Intercontinental Championship last year in August 2021 to Shinsuke Nakamura, since then apollo was drafted to RAW brand last year. Crews was last in action in January 2022 on RAW and since his Intercontinental Championship loss, he hasn’t been a part of the main storylines.

Apollo debuted as the Nigerian prince last year with his theme song being given a touch of remix of the Nigerian Drums. Crews put his Intercontinental Championship on the line last year by challenging Big E for a Nigerian Drum fight match. He won the event by the help of Commander Azeez.

Apollo crews returned to this week’s NXT Edition and surprised the crowd by dropping his Nigerian tone and Character, whilst confronting NXT Champion Bron Breakker. The WWE Universe on Twitter was amused and thankful to him for dropping his Nigerian accent. Several members of the WWE Universe also believed Crews should have the NXT Championship around his waist. Following his return that night he would team up with Solo Sikoa to defeat Grayson Waller and Carmelo Hayes in a Tag match.

Apollo crews debuted in WWE in 2015 with NXT Brand, wherein he performed for 2 years but didn’t win the NXT Championship. Since then, crews had been performing on the main roster where he clinched his first intercontinental and united states championships. Nevertheless, We Might see apollo crews winning the NXT Championship in the future, now that he has returned to the brand.
