He has established his dominance by being the 7 times Mr. Olympia. He sits at the throne of the industry and has the second most important bodybuilding tournament – Arnold Sports Festival to his name after Mr.Olympia.

Gaining a humongous fan following from his bodybuilding reign, he took to Hollywood. His greatest movies include Terminator, The Running Man, Commando and many others. His popularity helped him win the election for the governor with a massive gap. Currently, he is the Republican governor of California.

Being world famous, Arnold was involved in various controversies and allegations. He was at the zenith of his career when he was invited to WWE SmackDown. There he acknowledged his supremacy saying that the other actors were jealous of him being on the show. “And I tell them that they are too much of girly men to be on that show. I’m the only one that has the right to be on the show,” said Arnold. The phrase ‘girlie men’ spread like wildfire and Arnold was criticised for being responsible for it.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had to publicly apologize for using such words. He supported his statement saying, “I called them girlie men because they weren’t willing to take risks.” Since the stars were afraid of everything, Arnold called them so. Nevertheless, he regrets using such a term. He called him short-sighted for he didn’t see what backlash his statement could suffer later. He also said that in the long term, one needs to work with the same people so he shouldn’t have said so he shouldn’t have said that. 

The talks lessened over the years but the phrase is still named after Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even Wikipedia refers to ‘girlie men’ as “a pejorative term that was notably used by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to characterize opponents in the state legislature of California over the state budget.WWE stage can be considered not-so-good a platform for Arnold to be in. He was good that the controversy finally concluded without him being dragged into it more.
