Yesterday, Logan Paul finally announced a buy-back program bolstered with $2.3 million to make amends for CryptoZoo, a play-to-earn game that never actually got released. However, it has already caught the ire of Attorney Tom, the lawyer whose team is suing Paul and other defendants over the CryptoZoo debacle. He called Logan’s post on X a mere PR spin and filled with inaccuracies.

Tom alluded to the fact that Paul’s buy-back program does not cater to the $ZOO tokens or the hybrids but only the base NFTs. However, in the sixth paragraph of Logan’s post, it is mentioned that this buy-back program is not intended to compensate those who gambled on the market and lost. Moreover, he termed the Zoo Token something not intended as an investment vehicle.

Now, responding to the WWE Superstar, the Houston-based attorney said that the founders of these Zoo Tokens stealth launched the service. Allegedly, they made the game available to themselves so that they could buy the tokens at a lower price, evincing that it was indeed an investment vehicle, as opposed to what Logan Paul said. Tom further said it is so disheartening that Logan and his team are asking the claimants to waive off their claims for Zoo tokens.

Tom affirmed that he’d have loved it if Logan had issued refunds without entangling the buyers in a nexus of official language. The attorney further expressed sorrow for victims out there only getting paid back a paltry sum for the purchased NFTs and not $Zoo, as the buy-back has nothing to do with it. And worse, the rest of the claim is going to be waived, per the terms of the buy-back.

What has Logan Paul done to clean his side?

In his defense, Logan Paul is taking legal action against CryptoZoo lead developers Eduardo lbanez and Jake Greenbaum. He indirectly termed his cross-claim alleges as bad actors who betrayed Paul’s team and internally sabotaged the game.

The Maverick’s claims stem from a forensic analysis of blockchain activity. Moreover, it includes the review of thousands of communications. Keeping that in mind, the 28-year-old has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Texas to hold them accountable.

Paul claims to have records of developers’ nefarious trading activities. He further said that despite his yearning, the CryptoZoo will not be released owning to multiple regulatory hurdles. It needs to be seen how all this crypto drama unfolds.
