In just 6 days from now, Austin Theory will enter his second ever Elimination Chamber match. Last year, he fought till the death against Brock Lesnar, even eating up an F-5 from the top of chamber pod. However, this time around, he’s the champ. That being said, he’ll defend his United States Championship against Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Montez Ford, Damian Priest and Bronson Reed. For what it’s worth, the action will emanate from within that caged-structure known as the Elimination Chamber.
An update has emerged on the potential outcome of this high-stakes bout. According to BetOnline, Austin Theory is the current favorite to retain his gold at -115. That negative sign indicates the most probable name to win a particular matchup. If this turns out true, the win would further cement the 25-year old as a top heel on the red brand. As far as his competitors goes, each of them possesses a unique kind of threat for the champ.
Seth Rollins will be the toughest of them to captivate upon. Considering his invaluable experience of winning high-stake battles, The Visionary can derail The Now once again. Names like Johnny Gargano and Montez Ford can stop Theory through their unimaginable resilience and endurance levels. Plus, to add to the woes, Damian Priest and Bronson Reed are right there to introduce their power game into the mix. In this case, the ordering of these entrants become utterly vital. WWE may held a gauntlet match on tonight’s Raw to determine who’ll enter the field at last.

Austin Theory will face John Cena at WrestleMania 39
All the stops before WrestleMania can be treated as an appetizer for Austin Theory. Because, as per the Wrestling Observer, WWE has ‘locked-in’ John Cena as Theory’s opponent at this year’s Showcase of the Immortals. However, there’s no word on whether that dream clash will involve the United States title or not. After having numerous back-and-forths during the past few months, WWE finally landed their dart on Theory as Cena’s opponent.
Long ago when Theory made his main-roster debut, Vince McMahon had already envisioned him as the next John Cena. An inevitable clash between them was always in the works. However, Triple H’s assumption as the creative spearhead casted some doubts over The Now’s ongoing push.
But, once Hunter took over, he revitalized Theory as a character. Fans have shown their interest in the reigning US Champ as of late. Also, he’s shown some real shades of John Cena’s version of the Ruthless Aggression Era in recent weeks, mocking his iconic catchphrases.
