John Cena is arguably one of the most celebrated superstars in WWE history. He was the face of the company for almost two decades and has gathered millions of fans throughout his career. Cena is also known to have fulfilled wishes for children who are suffering from diseases and ailments. WWE and Cena work proactively to provide memorable experiences to all their fans. Now, Bruce Prichard has revealed John Cena’s thought process behind fulfilling so many Make-A-Wish requests.
While talking on “Something To Wrestle With”, WWE Legend Bruce Prichard talked about John Cena and his rise in WWE. He also talked about how Cena remained humble and down-to-earth even after becoming the top star. Prichard revealed, “John hated doing Make-A-Wish if there was the presence of any kind involved, even our own people. John would always insist on”
The reason behind this, according to Cena, ”Their wish wasn’t to be surrounded by cameras and press. Their wish was to meet me and they’re gonna get an experience with me, a one-on-one experience with me, and I’m not doing it for publicity. I’m not doing it to have people say what a great guy I am. I’m doing it because a dying child asked to meet me.”
Prichard praised the 16-time WWE Champion for being very humble and not wanting to work in front of cameras. He believes that the children did not wish for the cameras and the media personnel to be there. Since debuting in 2002, John Cena has won almost everything that can be done in WWE. Since then, he has moved to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actor.
